Joe Cornish was born in exeter in 1958, he studied art at university where his passion for photography started and after graduating in 1980 he went on to work with studio and car photographers for a few years helping him to build on his skills in commercial photography.
This career path didn't happen following a meeting with Charlie Waite he inspired him to pursue his passion of the outdoors and undertake travel photography with much of his work featuring in travel books which led to a partnership with the national trust. To help progress his skills as a landscape photographer Joe moved to Yorkshire in 1993 and is now devoted to landscape photography especially in wild places.
Joe has been involved with a raft of books for the national trust and then his own books which include First Light, a Landscape photographers art and Scotland's coast.
My own work comparisons

Hi
ReplyDeleteIts great that you were able to come to the talk and see his work alongside the stories. The images are a small part of all the background and prep work he does, to put him a certain place at a certain time.
Often the main part of photography is just that, preparation!
Good to see that you are comparing your work to his, talk to me about this as its vital we expand this a bit further.
I will help you with the labels , but you must try to identify where each blog fits into your personal work.

ReplyDeleteWell done and congratulations!!
You have achieved a Pass in both of your units,
On close inspection I have found enough value in your work and web based presentation for you to achieve a pass on this course, even though you didn't attend as much as you should have done.
The certificates will go through the system and arrive in due course.
Hope to see you back for more!!
